Metro AG, a multinational retailer, needed pricing that could keep pace with point-of-sale data streaming in from stores across entire countries. Brent helped design and build the company's algorithmic pricing platform, turning raw transaction data into pricing decisions at scale.

Director
Ari spent three years building open-source network security software at Greenbone AG in Germany. She handles clients, scoping, and outreach, with technical depth from her mathematics and engineering background to ask the right questions, scope accurately, and translate between business needs and implementation. Fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, with working knowledge of German and a bit of Latin on the side. Brent Moran
Engineer
Brent is a data and platform engineer with a decade of experience building pipelines over data his systems don't get to control. He built Metro AG's algorithmic pricing platform, processing point-of-sale data at country scale. He led CC Search's data engineering, working with the Smithsonian, Europeana, and national libraries, until its acquisition by Automattic. While at Creative Commons, he was the technical advisor of CC's position paper on AI and copyright, which was subsequently presented at the World Intellectual Property Forum. He is a co-founder and the technical lead of Mathesar, the open-source Postgres interface that works with your database instead of replacing it.
